Experience

As of yet, all of my experiences have been unpaid.

  • Despite my career still being only in its infancy, I have already had the opportunity to write for several established online platforms. A regular contributor to Fresh Press UK site Read Everton as writer and editor, and previously holding the position of blogger and copy writer for Shoot Magazine, I’ve expressed my linguistic ability through a number of different mediums.

  • Adept in utilising the power of social media, I have connected with respected journalists and writers to aid in my development. Through previous writing roles, I have also had the opportunity to speak to, and exclusively interview former sportsmen, through my role with the publication.

  • Co-helmed an independent blog with fellow students, which whilst short lived, provided me with experience in how to operate and effectively edit written content on a self-reliant scale.

  • Live reported on professional fixtures for professional businesses and sports clubs, enabling me to develop my skills to work quickly and proficiently to a tight deadline.

  • Formed the inaugural media team for amateur women’s football team Cheltenham Town Ladies, as well as establishing the club’s first ever match day tannoy system.

  • Covered BUCS sport for Rugby League’s governing body the RFL as a Media Officer Volunteer, as well as interning as a reporter with the Gloucestershire FA.

  • Have appeared on MSN UK Sport and on Trinity Mirror online sites.

I am currently available for freelance writing opportunities.
